With the stability cultivated in Wiz Thread, we present Wiz Groove for grooving operations. Grooving operations, where rigidity is put to the test, truly showcase the stability that Wiz Cut is committed to. Grooving is a plunging operation where the entire insert makes contact with the workpiece. In automatic lathe processing, grooving often presents challenges due to insufficient tool rigidity, which can lead to rough surfaces or dimensional inaccuracies, especially when working with hard materials. To address this issue, Wiz Cut has developed Wiz Groove by applying the proven principle of the vertically mounted insert method from Wiz Thread, achieving stable processing during machining. Similar to Wiz Thread, the lineup includes holders with internal coolant supply that can utilize all four corners and are compatible up to 20 MPa.
